Quora bans my comment that pointed out biased inaccuracies as hate speech

If you participate in this social media game long enough, you will step on some toes and offend people. And you will receive some comments you consider offensive yourself.

That’s the nature of the game, one I fully accept. I don’t really care if people call me names, which they have. That says more about them than me. Occasionally, I will turn around and call some public figure a name, such as referring to Rush Limbaugh as “Fat Bastard.” When Limbaugh and others call people worse names, including saying Chelsea Clinton was ugly as a 13-year-old — obviously, Limbaugh has never looked in a mirror — they are fair game for such names.

Besides maintaining a presence on Twitter, Facebook, and other sites, I sometimes answer questions on Quora or respond to answers with comments. In response to an answer to the question, “Has Obama been a bad president?” I found one list of supposed reasons that he had to be full of biased inaccuracies. In fact, most had been taken from far-right sites like Sons of Liberty Media, run by Bradlee Dean, who even some Republicans find repulsive.

My comment went, “You are obviously blinded by hatred of Obama. Sons of Liberty Media is a far-right organization with an ax to grind. I go with the political scientists.” And I provided a link to a New York Times story that showed Obama ranked fairly high…
